The Long Awaited Updated.....

Man I'm so full; I ate lots of wings and fries and had bubble tea at Bubblemania. The honey garlic was really good today and usually I don't get them because they make my hands so messed up.

Yes, I finally went to Karen's today to do some painting for DVBS. We got lots of work done, but it's not finished.

We've managed to start quite an mp3 collection on my comp. My bros have uploaded a lot of oldies stuff and I've been finding myself looking for a lot of old country songs hahaha. Well, I've also downloaded some Aermican Idol performances from season 4; nothing beats Rascal Flatts' duet with Carrie Underwood. That track is hot!!! Oh, and Bo Bice's "Stand by Me" is a great track too. Can't buy it anywhere; thank goodness for internet haha.

So I'm really looking forward to tommorrow's day at Lindsay Park...HOORAY! See you all there...bring your bathing suits and bring your game sucka!!!

I've noticed something in the past few weeks. The phrase "the more things change, the more things stay the same" is not universally true. Things are so different with me now, with my friends, etc. I don't know what it is but I find that sometimes it's hard to let go of something that seems so pointless to fight for. I said this to Grace when I was talking to her this week that there are friends of mine whom I care for dearly but have been unable to stay emotionally attached to. I feel like one party tries hard to keep the relationship close, and yet the other party doesn't make an effort at all. It's a two way relationship....so what do I do? What can I do? No, I don't hold any bitterness towards ppl who don't try to stay in touch, but don't expect me to try anymore if you've given up....whether it's right or wrong, sorry, that's the choice I've made. Then, on the other hand, there are people who I NEVER have to see and yet am able to be on the same page with all the time. I feel like we can be completely honest with each other right away. There's no superficiality to our friendships; no barriers. I appreciate that. Then there's people (including the self), who just change. I know we're all suppose to grow but what if someone changes for the worst? Can friendships truly persist and last despite the "new" person a friend/yourself has become? Sometimes it does; sometimes it doesn't. I wish I knew when and when it wouldn't work out...then I wouldn't have to try....:P Then again, I know the RIGHT thing to do is try right? :P So "the more things change, the more things stay the same" is a crock to me. I wish all my friendships with my buddies could persist but it's just such a joke sometimes.....:P We're suppose to gain all these benifits to friendships but man, sometimes it's just so draining to deal with......*sigh...gotta love having friends :)

Limewire or Ares?

Haha...sweet, Eva found me a song that I was really looking for through Limewire. Some less popular songs are harder to find on Ares, but I still like Ares better. I had to get rid of Limewire on my comp becuase it was conflicting with a few things with Ares on my comp....*sigh

I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith and it was good. Though a bit slow at times, it's still worth it to see this movie. I'd recommend seeing it at home though; it doesn't deserve the movie theatre treatment necessarily. Unless you're in love with Jolie or Pitt, you can wait for this title to come out on video.

I have still really lacked to prepare for my lessons and such for DVBS....man, time is running out and I also have to learn some of the new songs I want to teach. *Sigh......I remember when I last did DVBS 3 years ago, I was so last minute in preparing for my lessons. It's not that I didn't try to prepare, the ideas just weren't coming to me until the day of for crafts and games and such. It's hilarious how that works.... :P Well I'm off to Karen's house with Geoffrey to paint some of our decorations for DVBS...wish us luck...or better yet, God bless us!! :P

---Update---

1:33pm- Turns out Geo doesn't have the car so now it's a "sit at home" day haha....:P

@ Home Now

Okay, so it's been awhile since I've updated.....well, it's only a few minutes past midnight and here I am, I just got home and I'm updating my blog since I've been out all week.

We couldn't go hiking for "Prayer on the Mount," but we "hiked" to SAIT from church on Saturday; it was a'ight. Both Saturday and Sunday had us playing sports while getting attacked by hordes of mosquitoes; it was insane for us to be playing under such conditions. Today's mosquitoes were worse than Saturday's; they were really aggressive.

For dinners, we went to Tony Romas and Chianti's this weekend; both days had us hang out at Geo's afterwards.

DVBS is COMPLETELY FULL now; praise God. Still, despite having full registration for our program, more and more kids are finding ways to sneak into it and we're overloading. I think it's going to be crazy. My only hope is that with this year's new structure, we'll be able to manage things better and avoid the stresses of working in having such a full program. Still, I praise God for this because I know this program is for His glory. My prayer is for these kids to get to know God and to get them plugged into a church at some point in their lives; the earlier the better. Man, how different life can be for a kid if he/she goes through life knowing that there's a God who loves them and is cheering them on towards the finish line....I'd rather have that than have the alternative....

It's Coming...

Did Ya'll hear THE NEWS?!? This is big folks and you read it here first....an exclusive on this blog. Haha, j/k...but seriously, we need to brace ourselves. Coming Soon to a TV near you, according to Shine FM, Celebrity American Idol is on its way..... :P First a show with really bad washed up actors competing in dancing and now this....it's almost like The Surreal Life meets singing and dancing...what the heck is going on with our crazy world of reality TV? Giving up all these washed up actors another turn af 15 minutes of fame; it's hilarious.

"Cheese" is Back in Town!

"Are You Real?"
By KJ-52 feat. Jon Micah Sumrall

So my stress keeps running through my mind now.
Fell into a mess that I that wish that I could climb out.
I guess I hide it so nobody’ll find out,
The way everyone thinks that everything is fine now.

At home things are messed up with mom and dad,
And at school all my friends stab me in the back.
No one is real anymore; I hate the way they act.
There’s so many things that I wish I had.

So God if you're there do u understand?
Don’t u care about anything that’s happening?
It’s not fair to put me through all this junk again.
You see that I’m scared, so help me if you can.

So please speak loud and clear ‘cause I’m listening.
I need to no that you’re real ‘cause I’m struggling.
You need to show that your here ‘cause I’m stumbling.
Show me that you care this is why I’m saying this

Are you real?
I want to know (I want to know)
Are you real?
Then let it go (you got to let it go)

Are you real?
I want to know (I want to know)
Are you real?
Then let it show (you got to let it show)

The above song has been on my mind lately....I love it haha. I heard it first on Red Letter Rock so I decided to download it; I am considering buying his latest CD haha.

Today I met up with Karen and Geo to pick up some end rolls from The Calgary Herald and the rolls were the best of the ones we have take his whole week. We then went to drop them off at church, did some inventory, and then set out to buy some new materials for DVBS. Well, before we went shopping, we actually went for lunch at Yamato; I know we went there on Tuesday but I love that place (even if the food made me sick 2 days ago....). Shopping exhausted us though....I don't understand how girls can shop for more than 30 minutes. It's quite mind-boggling. I hardly know any guys who can do it and even they have seen my impatience with loitering at a mall. :P I just can't help it; I feel drained emotionally and physically when we have to shop lol. At least we were efficient today; we picked up most of what we needed for DVBS.

I finally bought my Supergirl figure from Comic Kazi today. I went there 5 times in the past 6 months and everytime I wanted to buy it, I never did. Well, despite the price and heavily looking for it elsewhere, I caved in and picked it up. I also picked up a Darth Vader figure which I thought I would never see again since it's a rare one. SWEETNESS! I'm poor, but never too poor to end my figure and comic collections. :)

X-Men Legends II BABY!!!

I love my new computer; I find more and more reasons to use it. I'm sure it's just a phase and I won't be so obsessed with it later on, but I'm glad I get to use it.

Christine and I were talking about how we're going to follow up DVBS and get the kids to come to YAC/KFC. Well, Geo and I talked about it too....hmmmm...still thinking though. Although having one brochure for both YAC and KFC might be the most efficient thing for us to do. We're really leaning towards having a Friday night follow up type night where the parents are welcomed to come to a fellowship and see what we're all about. We're thinking a pot luck? Campfire? Bring out all our youth/kids and their parents and they can all mingle....good idea/bad idea? Suggestions folks?

Yeah!!! Jon Chu was right, they ARE making X-Men Legends II and I can't wait 'til FALL to get it. In this game, we can use bad guys like Juggernaunt and Magneto who team up with the X-Men to fight off Apocalypse and his goons. SWEETNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Batman Begins' SUCKED!!!!

Batman Begins was....REALLY Good haha! I was just kidding about the title!! :) It was better than all 4 previous Batman movies put together lol. Christian Bale played a pretty good Batman but my bros told me they didn't like him that much. Anything is better than Adam West though! :)

Lunch was good today: I brought Lasagna with Frozen Peas and Carrots on top; it was like having Shepherd's Lasagna (Lasagna + Shepherd's Pie).

Man DVBS is really rolling....just a few more details to get done but we are right on track. I was praying today and thinking of things to thank God for in terms of DVBS and how it's going, and I came up with a lot. Wow, how many things to be thankful for when you just sit down and think about them! Thanks 'Big Guy!'

CPC = Bird's Nest?!?!?!

There's a bird in our church; it's quite hilarious haha.....I have no idea how it got in, but it's flying around on the Chinese Side as we speak. :P I wonder how long we will be its headquarters for...will it just pass away or will it flee from this cage? lol....

I'm at church doing DVBS Prep right now; I am currently listening to Kids music non-stop and am working on my powerpoint presentation for the volunteer meeting. Fun, fun!! :P

Yesterday, I ended up going to Clem and Amy's after dinner with Geo and Phil and it was pretty cool that we could just sit and talk about a whole bunch of different things. Elijah was so hilarious; man that kid has got a lot of energy!!!

After going home, I ended up going out for drinks with Rochelle and my brother and that was cool because I haven't seen her in SO LONG!! Thanks for the belated b-day present; it's so awesome!!! It's cool because it was encouraging to my faith and it just shows that despite weird times in my life, God still has me on His mind as He reminded me of His faithfulness to me through Rochelle's gift. It's funny how God uses others (even if they aren't Christians), to get a message across to you. Thanks "Big Guy."

Cornless

So right now, I'm cooking frozen veggies and as I was pouring it into the pot, I thought "man, so much peas and carrots....didn't get any corn!!" I was upset when I looked at the bag that it said "Peas and Carrots".....no corn!?!?! You crazy?! :P

I went shopping today with Alicia at Market Mall and it was upseting because when I got home, I checked my email and I got one from Phil saying they were watching Batman today. That's all great, but I came home too late to watch it with them!! :(
Hope you all had fun anyways whoever went!! :P

I lent Jon Chu my acoustic yesterday.....dang, I hope you learn how to play while you're still in Canada lol....play lots before you go on your trip; it'll be fun to jam with you if you can pick it up (which I have no doubt about you being able to do it).

Rain sucks; now we've got so much in Calgary that we've got flood warnings issued for our city....I pray this weather won't be around while DVBS, Summer Camp and Jesus Expo takes place.....AMEN! :P

I'll Believe It When I See It...

Okay so now they're saying a port is open and we'll be hooked up to ADSL on Tuesday. I'll believe it when I see it.....last chance Telus; don't blow it.

What in the Blue Hazes?!?!?! SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL!!

Blasted internet; I knew there would be issues with getting high speed. I called yesterday and apparently they said "we only have you signed up for phone service, and not for high speed internet." So I'm thinking "what the heck?" We only switched our phone lines back to Telus because we wanted cheaper internet (it's $10 cheaper a month if you have your phone line with Telus). So we called The Telus Store and they investigated for us what was going on...and apparently there are no ports left in our area for us. They said they would keep trying to get us connected but there's no garauntee when we could get set-up. "It could be days, a week, a month...who knows?" they says, they says. What losers!!! My bro and I are thinking of switching to Shaw because of this crap we're facing with Telus. (I can hear Milton right now cheering for us to switch to Shaw hahaha). We might do that because on the cable package we have now, we can bundle it up with High Speed and get an even cheaper deal than we could with Telus. Really though, it's up to my bro to make the call.....so now I'm left here, high speed internetless; I feel useless. :P

Whoopsie Daisy!

Man, I didn't realize that my new blog template is exactly the same design as Jacklyn's 'til today....oops! Sorry, I can't give it up....it's blue, and that's my favorite colour...there was no other nice blue one avaliable so I HAD to go with this one. Sorry Jacklyn that our templates match in design...but I didn't make this decision with your template in mind....just wanted to clarify I'm not one of those copiers intentionally; that's just creepy. And even if I was, I would certainly be a copier of something/someone who was really really really really really cool. You're cool, but you're only really cool.....not bad. :P

WHERE'S MY HIGH SPEED!?! I woke up early this morning to test it out and I still wasn't connected yet...what the heck?? Today is suppose to be the day too haha. I actually had a dream about getting high speed...like when I tried it for the first time in my dream in my home, I had so many things I wanted to do, I was flooding my computer with downloads and stuff, it was crazy hahha.

Hmmm...4 more days 'til I start "work"......2 more weeks 'til DVBS actaully starts....:)

The Days Go By...

While I was updating my blog template, I saw a pick that I totally thought was Andrew....but it turns out it wasn't....this is the "blog template guy." He's on EVERY sample of each template that is offered at blogger. Don't you think that this guy looks like Andrew? Man, EVERYONE looks like Andrew to me these days...first it was the guy at Sunny's and now this guy is ever more of an Andrew look-alike to me. :)

Well, time's almost up: The holiday will soon be over. I officially start work next Monday so you'll probably see me at church for the next little bit. I've done a lot of prework for DVBS...man the hours rack up... :P I think I've got enough to almost count as one week worth of work. I basically only need to work one more week full time...though, I will most likely be at church everyday for 2 weeks. Maybe I could do the work at home too....but it's probably better if I go to church and show I'm willing to show that I'm being productive! :P

One more day 'til I get High Speed! Let's hope it truly will be tommorrow and I won't have to wait any longer....."ugh, this high speed internet is intolerably slow..." hahah, who knows where that quote is form?!

A few more days 'til I get my LCD monitor; I hope it comes in soon.

Good luck to all the Youth who are preping for their finals....keep working hard and remember that God is with you!

Time is passing by quickly and I haven't much time to prep for Jesus Expo.....okay, turn panic mode off now!!! :P

I've Got Issues...

Man I don't know what it is, but sometimes even when you're feeling like you're on top of the world, you can't help but to feel like something is wrong...is it me? Is it a spiritual attack? I don't know; I wish I did. All I know is I felt GREAT after worship yesterday and then during the afternoon, I started feeling like crap for lack of any reason that I can think of even to this very moment.

Of course I can admit that I always have some insecurities about things; I find myself realistic about how things will play out. YES...I ADMIT IT....I do battle with my own insecurities, despite me telling my friends that I'm not...so you heard it here folks....:P It's a tough battle for me.....I'm not one of those ppl with an inflated self-esteem which serves as a good defense mechanism in protecting me from those issues...yet, I'm not exactly one of those ppl who can repress issues that bother me and just continue on...at least I can't always do that...

It's not advice I'm looking for; it's not pity...so please don't leave comments about either....seriously...:P I am not looking for it at all....but I do feel better "writing off some steam."

So many issues....so little energy to deal with them: Oh God, am I everything You want me to be? Are things going to get better....? Will we realize? Will I fight for her? etc....GOD I NEED YOU

Blog Spies

What a long day today.....I went to prayer in the morning which was pretty good. I then had to sit around church 'til 2pm for a meeting for Jesus Expo. I then went to ARC; it was suppose to be a day to toss the frisbee around but because of the rain, we just played some Pictionary at church. That was fine because I actaully do enjoy the game... :P We went to Fujiyama afterwards, only, I had no appetite whatsoever; I was full from snacking during ARC haha. I took home some leftovers. All in all, the day made me feel very lathargic...I can tell tommorrow will be another one of these days....*SIGH*

Turns out that there are some "blog spies" out there who are reading my blog. You know what I'm talking about: people who read your blogs and don't leave comments...but yet, they're regular readers who just want all the "latest info" on you.......I have discovered the identity of one of them: Karen Mah; The "cheese" herself! You can't hide any longer MWAHAHHA! Guard your blogs Bloggers around the world...watch out for these Spies who just want secret into on you....iya, these people are sickening!! :P Holla if ya hear me!!!

Rudolph?!?!

Dang, do you guys ever realize that the more exercise you do, the more your skin breaks out?!?! Well that's how it is for me....I think I'm turning into Rudolph because I have a huge zit on my nose. Well, it's not as bad as it can be...it just looks like red skin, rather than some big red lump!! Dang, I thought I surpassed puberty ages ago.... :P

It's official, I'm picking up a 17" Acer LCD Monitor Baby!!! I ordered it from the Microstore and it should take 7-10 Business Days. Blasted shipping..hurry up and get here! Oh well, at least I get a discount baby...glad being a U of C student pays off in one way... :P Looking back, because of the discount, maybe I should've been like Jon Chu and got my Ipod Mini there, but who could wait "7-10 Business Days" for an Ipod? Haha....I'm such an impatient person...I can't believe I've waited this long for my LCD....I surprise myself sometimes!! :P

So...what to do today...what to do, what to do? If only Grace were in town hahaha...:P

It Begins...

Props to Andy for getting the question right on my previous post: It is Commishioner Gordon; a support character for Batman. (Face it, he's useless haha, but yet, so cool at the same time!) I bought that figure last Friday before going to the Youth Ralley. :P It makes me excited to go watch "Batman Begins." Ebert and Roeper gave it two thumbs up; it has to be decent!!! They said the movie focuses on Bruce Wayne, rather than trying to develope Villians; which is a good thing as all the previous movies tried doing this.

Summer time is when I want to see a lot of movies as that's when all the summer blockbusters come out. Other movies I want to see Fantastic Four and yes, even Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Though for the latter, I hope the commercials haven't shown all the good parts already. I am not a huge fan of Angelina, but gotta love that Brad Pitt!! j/k I also want to watch Madagascar because it's doing so well in the theatres and it's recieved great reviews.

So not raining right now...at least not like how it was yesterday and definitely not as windy!!! I think I can finally go out today!!! :P

"Save the Drama for your Mama!!!"

Today I had Meatloaf for dinner; I feel I'm part of some Caucassian family now...seriously. :P

Here's some random pics below. The first one is a character from a comic book. First one to guess correctly who it is gets props from me!!! :P The 2nd pic is from YC and the third is from Milton's house. Click the links below!!!

Mystery Character
Eve, Leo and Priscilla at YC
Jackyln and I

Man I've noticed lately that a few of my friends are down and totally confused about their lives when it comes to relationships. Isn't it funny how relationships mess everyone up? Relationship stress is so full of heartache; I think I'd rather experience a physical BEATING instead hahaha.....but really, it's not a laughing matter....hope I didn't offend anyone. :) Just seeing how relationships are so dirty just makes me almost turned off to the idea of it all...but you know my philosophy: when you feel fear about something, face that fear head on. So if you see my chicken out on a relationship, I give you permission to smack me. :)

There's lots of drama surrounding my brother Wonston right now and his friends are totally giving him a hard time. This is so lame.....I truly feel bad for his situation and I'm praying for a divine resolution....keep strong bro....

There's also...other things...happening with my family right now which is starting to weigh me down the more I think about it.....will I get through this? Absolutely!!!....but it doesn't make it an easier at the same time does it? God, I'm praying for you to make the mess of the situation into something we can conqueor....

Does anyone ever wrestle with their identity? God's showing me more and more who I am and what I'm made of, but I still wrestle with becoming who I am now, and letting go of who I used to be. Why is it so hard to give up worldy things? Things of the flesh? Old desires? Old dreams? "I don't understand why I do what I do...."--Kutless

Teach me to let go Jesus.....and fill every part of me with You. Whatever exits out of my body, may you satisfy me with a thousand times more....amen...

Dreams...

The ralley was last night as South E Free..with them, our youth, and South Alliance. I loved how we got to go out to eat together afterwards; you South peeps are pretty cool!

Had a YAC meeting today and when I went to catch a train, I was annoyed because a cop prevented me from catching it in time as he was directing traffic due to construction. I ended up having to wait an extra 15 min at the train station and some Natives talked to me. It was an interesting chat....man, I don't know...my heart was breaking as we were chatting. They just told me about their lives and stuff....arg...it's sad...all we can do is live our life the best we can right? We're not perfect. It was nice that they could just have a conversation with me...one of them was nammed Heidi..... :P

I had the strangest dream that I was taking a walk with Grace and she started roller blading on the field we were walking on and I was yelling, "you can't blade on grass!! What are you doing?" Haha...in my dream, she kept trying to blade and kept falling haha. After that, while we were walking, I saw Laura Henwood and Lindsay Riegel playing tennis..so weird, haven't seen them for awhile lol..oly jr. high buddies. And then, I put Grace on a horse as she gallopped away...and I got to ride some flying creature, that took me home...it was cool. I never have dreams about flying, but I know lots of ppl do. Interpretations anyone?
