Actually, no...not that I know of haha. But I remember three of my dreams last night and one of them was of Leo telling me he was leaving YAC committee and I started panicking because he told me only and I had no idea what to do lol. Hope it's not a sign of things to come! :P
The second dream was of me teaching a gym class at Hawkwood with my old partner teacher and the phys. ed. specialist teacher. I had a dream that I was running a gym class there but I ran it how Marion Carson does it and not Hawkwood. The teachers thought I was taking too long in explaining the games so they took over and brushed me aside. What a burn!! Yeah, both schools do their gym programs completely different so that was a scary dream for me to have my teaching brushed aside haha.
The third dream I remember having was that I was back at Rundle again and I was once again looking for bugs to kill in my room. The dream was so real and I really believed I was living there again. Thank Jesus I'm not. I think I dreamt about this because after 2 years of collecting dust, I finally put Animal Crossing back in the Gamecube a few days ago and when I visited my house, it was infested with cocroaches...yeah so I guess that's why I got my dream about that....:P
I think it's pretty significant for me to remember three dreams all from one night. I've had multiple dreams on various occassions but I could never remember all of them when I woke up. Hmmm...I wonder if I keep thinking, if I can remember 4? Haha...have any of you ever done that? Who can remember all their dreams when they have multiple ones? It's so hard isn't it? Yeah baby, you know it is!!! :P

Give Me a Break
Hey everyone, it's break time for me for my lecture...1 more hour to go. I used to hate coming to the U for classes, but it's actually a nice break from the classroom and teaching. I take the opportunity to come to the U to talk to all the student teachers and it's really refreshing to be with them and to be away from the kids.
Now the Bowzoo thing is really interesting. For those of you who don't know, Jackson started some game where we can run our own zoo and buy animals and attractions. I've been experimenting a lot today with buying and selling animals/attractions and I've learnt a lot. Too bad I had to lose a few hundred bucks in the process lol. And because of that, I can't give you guys any hints MWAHAHAHHA!!! Oh well, I don't have the most animals but I do believe my animals are very unique and not too common. As for the burger stand, I can't seem to keep it. I've bought a burger stand practically 3 or 4 times but have sold it back for monies to buy other things.
One last thing about the zoo thing is that according to sources, Karen's blog is a place for her to lie. She's not saving up for an aquarium like she blogged about. Sources tell me she is going to buy the Polar Exhibit!!! :P Watch out for this monster!!! :P

Home Wrecker
Haha...well maybe more of a school wrecker. I've seriously been so discouraged about not being able to get any ideas on how to run some lessons my teacher asked me to prepare. He asked me to prepare some lessons on the phases of the moon and I literally sat there with nothing coming to mind for a few days. Man, that really tested me. I've also been teaching and my teacher has really given me some constructive feedback. He listed lots of good things, but he also listed a few suggestions here and there and for some reason, the bad stuff is always hard to listen to isn't it? I think teachers are quit insecure as it about the way they teach. I really have been questioning all of this but I feel like a big load has been lifted off my shoulders right now because the lessons are coming together. At first I felt intimidation in regards to these lessons but heck, I can DO this right? I just want to do a good job in impressing my teacher and getting a good review. My field advisor is coming to see me do one of the lessons on the moon so I guess that was another reason for my stress. Who needs two adults breathing down my neck about my teaching? Haha...it sucks, but I still want to be teachable. I know I'm already a part of this fatherless generation where I find it hard to take advice from my father, my spiritual fathers, etc. Still, I vowed to God I would try to be teachable so God, help me to be true to that. Give me a teachable attitude so I can be a good teacher myself.....:)

Preservere
Crap, I made a really bad decision in buying something on ebay. I paid wayyyy too much for that....man I hate when that happens! :P
Today, was my first day of teaching at Marion Carson and the lesson went pretty smoothly for the most part. Man oh man...the kids are quite good to me because they actually listen to me even though I haven't done much to earn their respect. Tommorrow, I will be teaching Phys. Ed. and on Wednesday, I will start the Sky Science unit. This unit makes me nervous becuase it's such an abstract concept. How do you explain the stars when you can't even bring one to class to show the kids and experiment on? Yeah, exactly!!! :P It'll be fun for the kids though because I know I loved learning about the stars so much when I was young. Oh baby, let this be good!!! :)
I've been busy lately and I have no idea why but I just can't seem to shake off the negative feelings towards student teaching. My partner teacher has been good to me so I know God's blessed me. Oh Lord just get me through this. It's so close to being finished; I can taste it. Just a little less than 10 more weeks.....it's getting better though, it really is!!! I'm trying to soak up more of God and spend more time with Him these days. I know I need to focus on Him and not on circumstance. With this refocus, I've been a lot happier. I've been at peace and I'm just enjoying my time. Wow, I've made it seem like I've had a complete change but it's just starting to get good again for me.....like as of yesterday..or maybe it was Friday lol. I seriously repented of some serious issues on Friday so maybe it was then...but Sunday was the day I started feeling super again....okay, that's enough of that. Whether it was Friday or Sunday, it's getting good....hopefully it continues that way....:)

Stories We've Got 'em!!!
Ooooh shoot....I almost forgot, I'm doing Junior Church this week.....:P Is that necessarily a bad thing though? I will be missing a sermon this week I guess....:)
I also forgot to mention that there is a student in my class who reminds me a lot of Eunice...but she's white. Her face is similar to Eunice's and so is her personality lol. It's not a bad thing...she's one of the more intellegent ones in my class.
I really am starting to like my class a whole lot more. At first, I missed my first class from last year because those grade 1 and 2 kids are cute because they're so young and innocent. However, some of these grade 6 kids are pretty smart and I'm starting to like them a whole lot more. They really impress me with their brain power. There are more boys in my class than girls and it makes everything really wonky. I love how all these white boys want to be either in the NHL, NFL or the PGA Tour when they grow up--they're such athletes haha. Some of the boys are REALLY popular with the girls in my class and that impresses me because they're developing the ability to MAC haha! Today we had indoor lunch break and the kids popped a CD in and started dancing. It's weird how they weren't self conscious about it all because I remember most kids were when I was that age....especially when the opposite gender was around.
I had to read a portion of a book to my class today and it was hard because some of the words were big and I struggled pronouncing them. I wonder if my kids think I'm a retard now lol.
My first lesson is in Math (my choice), and will be done on Monday. It's a lesson based on getting the kids to recognize patterns and produce them using manipulatives. Pray for me; pray for Mojo!!! :)

Wow, I Remember?
Today was the birthday of our assistant principal at Marion Carson: Mr. Harley Stewart. Why should you care? Well, there's an interesting story behind it all because I was only introduced to him yestrday and nothing came to mind but today however, I started to realize that I knew him from somewhere. I even remember from where: he was my grade 5 teacher from Queen's Park!! What a small world. We started talking about how "interesting" that school was and man, I'm so glad he made it out of there because he was too good for that school! :P Maybe that's why it got torched by a student and instead of rebuilding it, they built a new French school instead lol.
On another note, there is a student in my class who looks a lot like Geri. Or is it Jerry? You know: JERRY, JERRY, JERRY!!! I wonder if there is any relation there....:)

Aha Moment?
Wow, I originally wrote a really negative post about things and was editting when I heard the door bell ring. This was the second time it rang as it also rang when I was on the 'net contemplating whether I should even write the post in the first place. However, before publishing the post, I heard the door bell for the second time and decided to open the door. It wasn't anyone that I knew but let's just say after opening the door, I had a change of heart in everything. I don't know....after this experience, everything was just put into prespective and I don't know...I was definitely reminded of how I should really change my prespective on things and I just feel a huge negative feeling lifted off my shoulders......have you ever had that feeling? Wow, it's been awhile.....

Waittaminute
Today was my first day of meeting my grade 6 kids and it's funny because all I did for the most part today was obsess over trying to remember my kids' names. Most of my kids are white kids...there are only two asian kids whom one of which is ESL. Kind of weird becaue I really wanted to experience a classroom with ESL because I'm afraid I won't know what to do when I'm faced with them when I have my own class.
Despite it being exciting being in a new school, I really can't wait 'til it's all over.....I just want to finish this milestone in my life; I want to graudate and work baby!!! :P
Still, isn't it hard to accept the fact that God wants to bless us with the greatest things and yet sometimes we have to wait for this blessing? An example is just the fact that I get to finish University with two degrees but I have to wait 6 years to receive it. That's just one example, but I'm finding it is this that God holds true.
Trust. Wait. Obey. It all comes together in the end if we just hold onto these truths.
On an unrelated note, to close off, I just want to say that I just watched the news and apparently the Green Tea Frappachino at Starbucks is equivalent to 560 calories...that's about how much a quarter pounder with cheese is worth. That's also more than eating a meal of rice, veggies and non-deep fried chicken. Tell me you coffee cultured beverage drinkers: Is it worth it? :)

Living in Luxury...at the U of C!!!!
Hmmm...I'm sitting here at a computer at the U of C (in the Education Building), and the mouse really sucks bad. The comp I was using before this one had an even worse mouse...so I guess I can't complain too much about the one I'm currently using! :P
So being in my sixth year at U of C, I have realized some things that I had initially forgotten. For example, man, this place is quiet at 8am haha. I did have an 8am class once but that was so long ago...haha. I like how quiet it is during this time--no one wandering the halls aimlessly! :P
I also forgot how the U of C likes to spend money on 'useful things' like making their school look pretty but there could be other things the money could go towards instead that would make better use of the money. For example, the school has taken initative to make their student lounges look nicer all around the school and that is all cool and all because we want to study in luxury but I walked past the area by The First Cup today and it's pretty stylish...almost something taken out of Ikea. Is it necessary for the leather seats though? It looks nice...but it seems like it's all for asthetics! :P They have these funky white seats all over the place too that are pretty trendy...I wish I could describe them...but I just figured maybe they could've stuck to the usual cafeteria desks we had there in the past...:P Maybe it's not the worst use of the money but maybe it was a tad overboard too! :)
I am also learning some new things despite it being my sixth year. The joy of finding parking is one thing to name a few. I left the house at 7:50am and arrived at Brentwood Mall around 8:10ish so that's not bad! I went behind the mall to look for parking and found a few good spots haha. I remember when Jackson used to brag to me about finding a parking spot RIGHT behind the mall years ago. Maybe if I keep coming to school at this time, I will have no problems finding parking for free there. Oh how I'm going to dread those cold winter days though lol!
I made an acheivement this week...can you guess what it is? Haha....High fives all around for blogging everyday this work week!!! Yeah!! :) Haven't done that for awhile!
Anyways, see ya'll at YAC for Fire Drill @ 7:30pm at CCPC!! PAYCE!!!

Drum Role Please....
Alright two major announcments:

1) WEEEEEE!!!!! No wait, WIIIII!!!! The Nintendo Wii finally has a launch date as they will be released November 19th. Mark you calenders peeps! The system is stated to go for $250 US--that's cheaper than what I originally bought my Gamecube for!!! The games are also suppose to be around $50 US each. For PS3 fans, the PS3 will experience some delays as only 400 000 units will ship to North America during the launch while for the Wii, there will be 4 million units shipped for its launch worldwide!! Yeah baby, Wii all the way! For more info on this news, and for info on Wii's awesome features (like weather capabilities and ability to download old nintendo classics), check out :IGN

2) Buffy/Angel/Serenity on Runaways? Hmmm...everyone knows I'm a Runaways comic junkie and I've been bragging about how critically acclaimed it is. Well, after 3 years, the original creators are leaving the title only to be written by Joss Whedon, the awesome creator of Buffy/Angel/Serenity!!! He's been doing a great job writing Astonishing X-Men as of lately, generating lots of buzz for Marvel Comics. Man, I can't wait for this guy to start writing Runaways. I think he can take this #94 book in the top 100 and bring it to the top 10!! Just please don't kill Molly or Nico...I beg of you!!!! :P
Hmmm...I'm having a tough time waking up early. I set my clock to 10am but just woke up...something is really wrong with me I think. Today is my last day off until Thanksgiving. WAHHHHH!!! :( It's okay; it's only 3 weeks away right? :(

You Know That Feeling Where You Know Someone but You Don't Know From Where?
AHHHH!! I woke up late today for school and I had to rush out the door and pay $5 at the Art Parkade to get to class on time! Man, what a rip off!!! :P
So today was the first day of school and though there were no classes, I really enjoyed seeing my old education friends again. Man, these will be my friends for years to come...I really hope I'll have a chance to work with them at some point in the future! :)
After orientation, I met up with Jon Chu and Velia for some Moxie's action at Market Mall and we did some shopping there too. During the shopping time, I ran into this girl from education and it was weird because I saw her today during orientation too. I didn't say "hi" to her because I never had her in any of my classes and yet I feel like I've met her before and so when we saw each other at the store, we made eye contact and started staring at each other. She said she knew me from somewhere and I said the same thing about her too. Weird. We introduced ourselves and talked about who we knew and stuff but we couldn't figure out how we knew each other. That is just so bizarre. This is going to bug me all night!!! :P Where do I know her from!?!?!

Closure is Everything
And isn't it true that closure is the most important thing to feel? Well, I know some people who can tell me that they've never had closure on situations they've faced in life but I think if you look clearly, you can find enough indications to help you reach verdicts to obtain closure.
It's so important for people to reach this state I think because we need peace. We need to know that that door has closed; we need to know that we don't need to look back in life and wonder, "what if?"
I've always tried living my life with no regrets. Honestly, I hope I can continue living like that because I need it for my own sanity. I need to know that what I was once open to is now a closed door before I can fully move on.
Trust is also everything. God help me to trust in You. Everything is test after test I feel. Help me not to lose sight of You despite all the trials that seem to bombard me.
“Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” Psalm 86:11 (NIV)

"Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?"-- Avril Lavigne
Okay, probably not the wisest person to get words from, but at this point, she seems pretty intellegent by coming up with a line like this. :P But seriously, what is with the tendency to make things so messed up? I think if you see a good thing, keep it simple. What's with the ability for us to overthink things and therefore making a situation messy? Seriously, the messier it becomes, the less desirable it all seems. Who'd a thought happiness would be this hard to attain? Maybe 'happiness' isn't what I want anymore. They say the end justifies the mean but is there an outcome to it all? Is it all pointless? Tell me that isn't so; tell me that there's a light at the end of this tunnel for us.....
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If I can't have what I want, I won't settle for anything less....

Hooray for Everything!
Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all you're my Wonderwall....--Oasis
Currently I'm feeling very well rested. This was the first day I slept before 1 am and overall, that just energizes me way more for the entire day. I've been sleeping at 4am lately and it's been a terrible feeling afterwards. I have no desire to do anything but lounge at home on those days...:) Maybe I'll do something active today :P
So I opened up my Lost season 2 and watched the bloopers/deleted scenes/lost flashbacks and let me tell you, I'm so geared up to watch the new season....just one more month away baby!!! :)
I downloaded some songs from the new Hillsongs album and I know I told a lot of you I wasn't going to buy it, but I'm inclined to do quite the opposite now. I still have to go to CP to pick up the new Jars of Clay so maybe I'll just go pick up the Mighty to Save CD as well....*sigh...we'll see how it goes. :P
Anyways, it's a beautiful and glorious day so I need to get out of the house....is anyone up for hanging out later tonight though (like after dinnerish)? We need a house to lounge at!!! :) Anyone? Anyone? :)

Anyways, it's a beautiful and glorious day so I need to get out of the house....is anyone up for hanging out later tonight though (like after dinnerish)? We need a house to lounge at!!! :) Anyone? Anyone? :)

For Love or Money
"Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money" --Good Charlotte
The above quote just cracks me up because I used to listen to this song so much but I can honestly say it's been awhile since I've put a Good Charlotte tune on....that is, until today! :) Seriously, is the above quote true? Hmmm....I have no idea if it's a generalization that can be stated about ALL girls but one thing I can't help but to wonder: maybe this song should've been written by asians because it certain describes Chinese girls doesn't it? :P Am I going to get ANGRY comments about this? You know a lot of my female friends I've known have been asian and though many are like sisters to me, you know I can't help but to notice that this sentence applies to them. However, I know there are some exceptions out there and for those of you who have found love despite a giant paycheck I say "kudos" to you! :)
We had a talk last night at Jon's house about this....is marrying someone who's well off really marrying for love? Or is it just settling for the stable guy? Everyone has a dream of what they want in a guy/girl but if you compromise all that for the sake of stability, is that really going after all you've dreamt about or is it just settling? I'm actually not convinced that it's either or, but it is a good point to be raised. Hmmm...I've pondered this question but I think also that as you grow older, your tastes change. You know what you want more and you suddenly realize that what was important at one point is no longer important for the long-term.
Hmmm...it's really funny how much I think about relationships. I think I'm just a guy looking for love but I think I'm looking in the right places right now so that's a good sign. I try to be a realist in so many ways but I can't help but to be that hopelessly romantic guy....well, not one of those Hollywood type romantics...maybe I'm a REALISTIC ROMANCER!! Seriously, God I think is The Greatest Romancer of them all so maybe I'm just bearing the image of this God I serve!!! :)
It was surprising to me to find that so many of my buddies are actively looking for their "beauty to rescue" during a discussion I had with them recently. It just makes me feel a lot better about what's on my mind because I know I'm not the only one....so here's to all the ladies out there: May you fiind your knight in shining armour and may it truly be the love you've always wanted. Hopefully he carries not necessarily a big paycheque with him, but a love for you that fulfills your desires more than any human being ever could. Soulmate, I know I'm closer to finding you....so may God prepare you for me and me for you....I'll find you soon so wait for me.... :)
****Update: Man did I just write all the above stuff?!?!? I think I'm gonna puke! :P****

Carefully Being Care Free
Wow, I am super tired today! I woke up at noonish and played some tennis with some of the guys today and came home after only an hour! Man, it was hot out there and I will be playing some tennis tommorrow so that should be fun! :)
The weekend has been fun with the mini golfing, bowling, Balderdashing (which I left at Geo's house...oops!), the pillow fights and even the new lizard friend we made at Geo's house....:) I'll let him write about that since it's his story but still...what a funny and unexpected thing to happen! :)
Well it really feels like a blast from the past putting this blog template back up. This was always my favorite template...hopefully it'll work for Geo's computer this time....:P No one is ever happy with my templates...I have no idea why there are so many issues but hopefully all will be well with this. :)
I'm feeling very happy these days. I just feel very refreshed and reenergized but I am still missing DESIRE. I think things will pick up when practicum starts up but until then, I'll just pretend like I don't need to have a care in the world! :) Here's to a relaxing rest of the holidays! :)
