!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh COME ON!!!!! I'm so sick of this...freaking computers.....

A lot of you know that I had problems with my computer I bought last year a few months ago becuase of a power surge. Well, today, I just left my computer while I took a break from planning for DVBS and when I came back, the computer was off. I thought that was weird but began to wonder if I had turned it off unintentionally. So when I tried turning the computer on, it started up fine but then just died out all of a sudden--as if the power wasn't given the computer any juice. I kept trying to reboot the computer, but no such luck. I swear, Computers are the biggest money wasters for this family as we have no good outcomes with them. Seriously, God, can you just provide us with a computer that doesn't break down and that we don't have problems with so we don't keep wasting our time and money on them?!?!? The worst part is, I was suppose to email some DVBS stuff to Louise so she could begin her planning today and now that's not going to happen. Everything from DVBS is on there...man why didn't I save it all onto my USB key?! Please pray for Mojo....Mojo being the computer and that everything will be fixed with no problems and that the documents I had will be all fine and that once being fixed, I won't have any more problems with it......

Cooking Up a Storm...well not really, just Soup! :)

Do you remember at what age you started cooking for yourself? Hmmm...for me, I think I was in between grades 2-3 or so.....it was nothing extravagent...just boiling some Chunky Soups or making Instant Noodles. Still, for someone around that, I'm glad I could cook without setting the house on fire. I remember how my my nagged me to ALWAYS watch out to and double check that the stove was turned off when I cooked. LOL...I honestly have no idea if it's becuase of my Mom's Constant reminders or if it's just in me by birth, but I never forgot stuff like that when I was young. So yeah, I feel that the nagging was pointless.

I even remember at what house it was I started cooking. It was at 139 Ominica Street postal code S6H 1X1. Okay, am I nerd for remmebering that? I remember a lot of the addresses I've lived at, but Ominica is as far back as I can go. I can't remember the number of our house on Monk Street and I can't remember the number of the first house we lived in...get this, my original place of residence was...GRACE Street....freaky....:P

The only reason why I bring up this whole topic is becuase I just finished making (an eating) some Chunky Soup and I started to wonder when it was that I started eatiing this stuff and then it lead to me wondering when it was that I started cooking it myself....it's been so long haha....

I also just made myself a mango and peach smoothie. My bro just bought this blender and it's pretty low end actually....it gives me frustrations lol. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth all the work but it's all good haha.

I was really annoyed yesterday, because I was taking the bus all over the place and then on about the third bus I got on, the asian bus drive tells me that my Upass is expired and that I had to pay next time I got on the train. I told him that it should go until the end of the school year and since exams weren't done, I was pretty sure I was right but he insisted, "NO, I read the bulliten this morning so I know..." Anyways, the bus I took home, I payed for fare. I got home emailed the Upass people from the U of C since there was no information avaliable online and they told me I was right; I didn't have to pay! What a fool that bus driver is. What a fool I was for wasting my $$$!!! :P

"Hey Man, You're getting a RU-USH!!"

Does anyone know where that quote is from? :P

Oh man, after sports yesterday, I had a MAJOR HEADACHE! I slept so early when I got home....slept for 10 hours! When I woke up, the sucker disappeared! Thank you Jesus!!!

Looking at my posts since finishing up the year in school, I have found that my posting time has become more spurattic timewise. Who would've thought I would be blogging at 1am? It's kind of crazy....:P

There's been so much on my mind lately. I wish I could remember all of it but I really can't. The worst feeling is, I think God is just trying to tell me too many things at once. I haven't written them all done at all....maybe just 1 or 2 things. :P

I am reading "Velvet Elvis" as we speak and have finished the first 4 chapters. I am getting so much out of it....it's funny how during this transition time from school to DVBS last year, I also read a book at that time. I think I have to read the first 2 chapters again becuase I don't feel like I got much out of it like I did with the last two. I have a few other books I could read too after this but let's not get ahead of ourselves--I'm not the book nerd I was in grade 6! :)

Oh, I'm getting rid of some of my figures to make some room on my bookshelf for new figures to be released during the spam of this year....not much...just 11 figures or so....you can check it out if you just want to see what it's like to post on ebay or if you want some AWESOME Batman figures:
BATMAN HUSH FIGURES

Yeah, they're nice because they're designed by the best artist ever: The Great Jim Lee!!! Still, they're DC figures and I gots to make room for all those new Marvel Legends and Street Fighter figures! :) Here's a pic of some of my X-Men Marvel Legends figures...so beauitful:

MY X-MEN COLLECTION

I'm tired; I should head to bed. It's been a great 2 weeks of doing DVBS stuff and I'm really just relaxing and taking it all in. God is reminding me that He's God and He's watching out for me and I am just drawing inspiration from everything around me right now. As Relient K would be put it, I honestly feel like "it's Sunny with a High of 75!"

That's it for now...night ya'll! PAYCE!

Watcha Gonna do when Bubble-MANIA runs Wild on YOU?!?!

Dang....in the last 7 days, I've had 5 Bubble Teas. I had two on Good Friday, 1 on Tuesday when I went to do church business downtown, 1 in Edmonton on Wednesday in T&T and 1 today. YUMMY! I think the only thing I've been addicted to and have never gotten sick of is Bubble Tea. It's been an obsession that's lasted from Junior High onward.

Yeah, speaking of which, I went to Edmonton on Wednesday with my oldest bro. He had some work thing up there, so I went up and hit West Ed. for a bit. The mall is big, but it was bigger when I was a child....seems like it's so small now doesn't it? :) Everything is bigger when you're a child I guess haha. Our malls down here and still nicer though.....they got the bigger mall, but we got fancier shmansier ones! :)

I also got to visit Crystal and see her place in HUB. We went out for Japanese and it was expensive...but the tempura was really good.

I haven't blogged in awhile...so this one's for you Alicia! :)

***UPDATE***

Man I forgot to tell you guys about how on the way home, this huge truck was trying to pass a vehicle and we followed it in passing......When the truck changed back to the right lane, we attempted to pass the truck and as we were passing it, we saw a deer standing in the middle (right between both lanes)!!! We keep driving because we've almost passed the truck and the truck blows its horn and the deer goes towards the right lane and off the left lane. We zoom pass but I turn my head around and I see that the truck can't stop and it totally takes out the deer and it goes off into the left lane.....I see it lying there in the road....man it was so sad seriously....I also came to the realization that if our car was even 5 seconds behind from where we were (and if we weren't seriously speeding on the highway), we could've had a deer on our dashboard and I could be dead right about now. Seriously, I think I need to leave my life of sin and repent.... :(

A League of Their Own

I had the good fortune of running into my friend Anipa on the bus today and I don't know what it is, but we have the most amazing conversations lol. She's so opinionated...almost to the extent where we get into verbal abuse on each other haha. She reminds me of my friend Tammy Wong in her skepticism regarding long term relationships. One of the things we got into a heated discussion about was how she thinks that there is no such thing as a person being "outside of his/her league" when persuing someone in a relationship. She argued that everyone in the world is different and it's like comparing apples and oranges. However, I argued that people can be different yes, but someone is outside of a person's league when the previous person has more desirerable traits and thus brings more to the table than the second person.

She then argued that everyone has different tastes so there is no such thing as undesireable traits. Then again, I brought up the extreme example of saying that if she believed that to be true, then there would be equal numbers of Jennifer Aniston lovers in the world as with say the ugliest, most cruel and selfish person that we knew to counter her point.

She agreed with me on that point, but still we debated when we were on the bus, and when we got off...we did so up until she transfered buses and I walked to the LRT.

Even though we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things (specifically about religion and relationships), she always offers me great insight about things and I can definitely take what she says and apply it into my own life.

Still--I do have to say--I believe there is such a thing as "A League of Their Own" hehe.....

It's Honestly like Hide and Seek

I worked of DVBS budgetting today and man, having 25 kids a week v.s. having 35 kids a week equals a big difference. Does it matter if we pull even for DVBS? I looked at the 2006 budget for DVBS in our Annual Report and it looks as if I have some leeway....you know, in case we don't get full registrations this year.....I'm really prayiing for another full program this year though! It's all in your hands God so help us out please!

What really sucked was today, I went to CP to look for a possible cirriculum I could teach and I found a cool book that we could teach from but I could swear that we have this book at church. I went to church to look for it afterwards but I couldn't find it. In fact, I was looking for lots of books we had on craft making and crossword/activitiy sheet books but couldn't find it! Does someone have this stuff? Man, looking for stuff in the church is a pain....it's like someone took the materials I used last year and hid them on me! I seriously went back and forth serveral times in each room to look for books, but I couldn't find anything! I ended up going back to CP and I bought a craft book but where are the ones we had at church?! Does anyone have the materials I'm looking for? Why does it have to be so difficult sometimes instead of being easy? DAHHHH!! Frustrations!!! :P

It's going to be interesting to work with Louise, David and Calvin.....but this will be a great team to work with.....I'm looking forward to seeing the youth step up and taste the fruits of ministry this year! Man, it's going to be exciting and yet, it's going to be tiring......meh, it's all good...BRING IT ON! :)

Home is Heaven

It's funny that Karen's comment on my last blog about the possibilitiy of my sore neck could be because of my wild dreams because--come to think of it--that is very likely the case. I had a crazy dream the night I woke up with the 2nd sore neck and it was a dream about my middle brother kidnapping a girl we knew and for some reason, I wanted to let her go. We got into a fight...only it was a fight with lightsabres....toy lightsabres.....haha...I had my trusty purple Mace Windu one and he was using his evil red Vader sabre. Where was my oldest brother in this dream? He was sleeping through the whole thing in his bed and the funny thing is, the battle took place in his room while he slept and didn't seem to care or do anything about the situation. :)

I was looking at Youtube videos and I found this video with Marty Simpson and he was playing the piano in this video! Nifty! Man, seeing all you musicians with your talented playing makes me envious--I wish I could play something really well!:( Anyways, I downloaded the song and it's called "Home" and is from the "For all that You've Done" CD. I've been listening to it all day and I've learnt how to play it on guitar with capo 2. I can't get enough of this song. I don't know if it's good enough to last the test of time or if it's even worth introducing this song to CPC...but for now, it's really got me going! It's a good reminder that we don't belong here on Earth...man I can't wait to get to Heaven...seroiusly...

Speaking of Heaven, you know what I've thought about? What if the rapture happened on the day I graduated? Or the day I got married? Or how about right before the birth of my first son/daughter? Would I be like, "No! God my career/relationship is just getting started. Can you come back another time?!" LOL...I just pray that the rapture itself won't happen on any of those days, but I hope it happens soon..... :)

Neck's a Wreck.....

Ouch....over the weekend, I slept really unwell in that when I woke up, I had the sorest neck ever. The whole of my left side of my neck hurt and it took a few days for it to finally heal. Well as it started to heal, two days later, I woke up and the other side of my neck was sore....DANG! I HATE sore necks! What's going on when I'm sleeping?!?! Seriously, maybe it's a demon attacking me or my neck is being rapped or something becuase it hurts like mad! Um....maybe I'd prefere the latter of the two....the first option seems scarier....:P

Seriously, I didn't go to the conference lol. Two nights ago, I couldn't sleep early as I ended up having some seroius chats over MSN and that's crazy because I haven't had that in awhile......

Today, I forgot to set my clock and I slept for 10.5-11 hours haha. Man, I gotta get out of the house. I should go pick up my comics and maybe go for a walk along The Bow or something haha. It'd be nice to just think about things and spend some time with God....ya know?

I am pretty sure I have a theme ready for DVBS. I started working on the registration forms already. I think this year, I'm not going to by any package of lessons, snacks and activities. I think I can plan that on my own. Besides, we also have older VBS ideas in the Church craft room so I can just look in there for craft and/or snack ideas. Hmmmm....I'm excited about DVBS!!! I hope we can get lots of volunteers......:)

Stirred, not Shaken.....

Can you smell that in the air? It's excitment. But why!?!? One reason is because it's the last week of school baby! Well, I'm at the U right now, anticipating my last class. Tommorrow and Wednesday is a Conference for Education students but I'm debating if I'll go. Maybe I'll go on Wednesday because after all, that's the day my new comics arrive in stores! :P

Another reason to be excited is because of a lot of what's going on in CPC.....it's been an exciting weekend for me to see what's going on with the youth. Having Ron Powell here was a blast and I'm getting a taste of the goodness of God through the excitment the youth are experiencing through worship. A lot of them are hungry...don't you sense it? It's amazing!

What was neat about Saturday was that when we arrived back at CPC after the youth rally was that I got to see a lot of the adults and what they wrote to our kid we're sponsoring through that fellowship. Man, I know I'm not an "ARCKY," but I do believe in the cause they're supporting through Compassion Canada. They are lucky becuase they got to write cards and letters to the child and I wish I could do that too. Maybe YAC should sponsor a child too.....Still, ARC's sponsorship of a child in Kenya will definitely bond the fellowshippees....so all the best with that guys. Let me know when we can go visit our child and I'll book the first plane to Africa! :)

I'm also really excited for YC baby! I wish United was going though because after picking up their latest CD, I have a desire to just go nuts with them! Some other time I guess.... :) I think they're going to be in Toronto soon though.... :)

DVBS is something I'm becoming more excited (and also nervous) about and I realize that it needs to be soaked with a lot of prayer. So if you could join me in this, that would be great. We need prayer for kids, impact, weather and less mosquitoes! Pray that I can get everything sorted out soon too and that we have lots of volunteers and that those who are volunteer will do so with excellence. Pray for our youth who are stepping up because they're getting a taste of ministry and may they get a taste of the goodness of serving....

And last but not least, Summer Camp will be a blast too. I'm excited for this vision; I really am!!! So let's hope we can find some good camp songs and that all the sorting out of things for equipment, songs, teams, etc. will all go well! GOD GIVE US GOOD WEATHER THIS YEAR PLEASE! NICE AND HOT weather so we can go out to the lake lots and play lotsa water games!! :) Something tells me this is going to be a milestone for a lot of people and this summer camp feels like more than just hype so get ready folks!!!

What a great summer we have lined up!! Oh BABY!!!

Wow, gotta get back to class!

PAYCE!

Boot Camp '98

I have blogged about this before but seriously, in so many ways, I hate what I've become. In other ways, I love how I've changed for the better too. *Sigh* I'm not trying to be negative, but I guess I just want to analyse things about me critically so I can see where I've went wrong, and where I've went right.

A part of what has sparked these thoughts right now was watching the United DVD that came with the CD. Man I loved it; it was so encouraging. It's so weird hearing the core group talk about how their lives changed through a summer camp and how 1998 was the year that sparked it all because that exact date and event was what sparked my desire to serve the Lord with my life as well. Wow...I became something different after that camp. I was so into witnessing and bringing my friends to Christ and Jesus WAS my identity.

Through the years though, things have changed. I noticed that the world has become a lot more complicated; I've become more about other things than just having Christ identity-wise. Over time, career, ministries, school, relationships, etc. have complicated things. Honestly, I want what I once had....I want to be about Christ....it'll annoy some people I know it haha. I just want to reflect Christ more in my life. I fee like I want to be a better witness through my life and through how I treat others. I know I'm drifted pretty far....I wonder if my friends from school can see Christ through me? It's a sad thought......

So why am I even talking about this? To me, how I live my life affects the youth I work with. Man, how can I expect them the youth to be sold out for something when there aren't any traces of it in my life? I don't want this to be a wasted theme...I don't want the youth to only see an average sold out leader for Christ as an example of what being sold out is all about. Man, I want to see these youth souled out! God I know it's not about me...but I know I can at least be an example for these youth....Holy Spirit would you begin stirring that again in me? Would you help me be an example to these youth? Would you bring these youth to the place where nothing matters in life except your approval? Let the chase begin......

Reminiscing....

What's been really cool these past weeks was being on campus and seeing old friends. It feels like I don't get a chance to see many of my friends at school becuase of the whole Education Program, but I'm thankful that when I can, I get to see some old pals to talk about the past.

I ran into Tammie Cheung and Ken Choi a few times and we talked so long about "where are they now?" We definitely had a lot of people to talk about from QE and Dief and a lot of the talk was basically theories and news on where the people we were once learning with are now. So many to go through and yet so many people we've lost contact with!!

Today I ran into Anipa and she is always such a delight to talk to. You know those people who you are friends with and never change? Talking to them--even after not seeing them for months or even years--you can resume the same closeness you had before! It's like time has not passed at all. She told me something interesting today; she said that the average person falls in love 6 times in their lifetime. I wonder if that's myth or fact?

I met up with some of my old friends from Case Studies from last semester: Lily and Sonya and I joined their class at lunch time and we played some board games and I got to eat a lot of the food their class brought in. It's funny becuase that class has no guys in it and mine had 5! the dynamics of everything can change when there's just a little testosterone in the room! :)

Still, I have a lot of friends whom I still haven't seen in a long time--some of which mean the most to me. Where did you all go there eh? :) We really have to catch up some time!

Possessions = Happiness?!?!

I gotta Stop being so mopey...."Why are you downcast oh my soul? Why are you so disturbed within me?" Besides, I just bought the new United, Passion, Hawk Nelson, and Sanctus Real CDs!!! I was reading some reviews on the CDs and guess which one got the worst review? The best review? Haha....I'll be the one to decide which of these are the best.......:P Oh yeah, I also bought "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" haha.....I feel so great having these new goodies to delight in.....I've got tons of music to listen to for the next little while......:P

Kilts baby, Kilts!!!!

Today, I came across that really nice Scottish bus driver. He didn't look familiar to me but I remember meeting him when Alicia and I were taking the 9 back from Market Mall and he had the, "Hello young fella!" greeting for me and "Hello young lady" towards Allie. Dang, that guy rules! Gotta get your Scottish fix haha. It'd be cool to teach in Scottland becuase I love their accents! One day perhaps....

Am I seriously messed up? I snapped at one of the youth last night because he made a comment about something to which he doesn't understand. I know I get caught doing this....I really don't know what I'm saying at times but I'll speak my mind on a topic to which I don't much know about either. I try not to...and most of the times, I don't...oh, the thoughts that rush through my head about everything....wouldn't it be funny if we thought in words? Everyone would hear everything that raced through our heads....that's why I'd hate to be like a telepath like Professor X! Oh the humanity! :P

I really want to see that new movie with Willis/Hartnett/Lui/Freeman....it reminds me of Kill Bill when I see the commerical...what is it called, "Lucky 7" or "Number 7" or something along those lines? Anyone want to go see it? Still haven't seen V for Vendetta yet either....:P I'd rather see the "7 movie" though becuase it's newer....:P

Secular Music

Just wondering, how much of it do you listen to say on an average week? For me, I get my fix every week during American Idol and maybe a few times in the car when my brothers are driving me home. Does it matter how much secular music we listen to? Most of the songs on my Ipod are Christian....but for those of you who have made a transition from one to the other, has it had a significant impact on you in any way just by listening to either Christian or Secular music? I know what the impact it has (or hasn't) had on me but just curious if anyone can shed some light on this subject with their own experiences.....
