X-Men Legends 2 News and other games.....

Man, X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse has a release date of Sept 20th; I can't wait. I've been anxiously awaiting the full roster list of playbale characters and am disappointed that there are few updates on this. It appears that there are lists of characters floating around the message boards and so far, the most credible list is that which is listed below:

Playable X-Men/Brotherhood
-------------------
Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Juggernaut, Magneto, Bishop, Nightcrawler, Toad, Jean Grey, Iceman, Sunfire, Gambit, Rouge, Colussus, Scarlet Witch and Cable

Villians
---------
Apocalypse, Bastion, Holocaust, Sauron, Stryfe, Abyss, Omega Red, Mikhail Rasputin, Sugar Man, Mister Sinister, Archangel, Lady Deathstrike, The Living Monolith,Grizzly, Deadpool, Stepford Cuckoos, Zealot, Garrok, Marrow, Dark Beast,
Sabretooth

Okay so the list for Playable X-Men/Brotherhood seems pretty accurate of what I was thinking except I didn't predict Scarlet Witch. I was guessing Mystique and am hoping she makes it in. I am hoping Cable makes the cut because he is so important to the whole Acocalypse storyline...besides, who wouldn't want Cyclops' son to be in this game? I hear that you get all these characters from the start, but I also heard that there are hidden characters you can unlock throughout the game such as Psylocke and Dazzler. I hope this is true because that would make this game WAY more fun WAHAHA. Reports are indicating that Activision is putting a lot of X-Men characters in this game but will be non-playable. So far I've heard, Professor X, Blink, Havok and Forge are among them; so everyone should see their favorite X-Man or X-Woman in this game, even if they aren't playable!!!

The villians list looks great although I didn't expect Zealot or Grizzly to make the cut lol. I didn't even know who Zealot was until I scoped him out at http://www.uncannyxmen.net
Hmmmm..yeah, if you don't know anything about the X-Men and are interested, or want to know more about the characters becuase you're going to buy the game, go to that site, it's a great resource. They have a huge character glossary where you can find all the details!

Speaking of video games, there's a lot of video games coming out that I want from now 'til Christmas. Here's the list so far:

WWE Day of Reckoning 2
X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse
Karaoke Revolution Party (yup, a KR game for Gamecube...this game has 50 songs and you can dance with a DDR pad while singing!!)
Super Mario Strikers (a Soccer game with Mario characters!!!)
Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (fighting game with Marvel characters!)

That's about it for now...PAYCE!

Here's My Heart
By Out of Eden feat. The Katinas

Dear Lord, Are you there, listening to my little prayer
I don't know Exactly what to say
I've been told that you love me, Hear me when i call, would help
me if i fall
I should let you have your way
What I guess i'm trying to say, is I need you in my life
Cause I know i'm tired of living in the past
I would like to take a chance on a change down deep inside
I believe that this is one that's going to last, So here is..

CHORUS
Here's my heart, It's been broken, It's been wounded
But i'll give it all to you if you would love me (love me)
Here's my life, If you want it, you can have it
I will give it all to you because you love me
(your love is everything I need)

Dear Child, I'm right here, through your worries, through your
fears
I've been waiting, for you to call my name
Oh you know, that I hear you, If you turn to me and trust my
word is true
You will never be the same
Well I'm standing here to say, that you need me in your life
Cause I know that you can't make it on your own
Oh if you would take a chance, Let me change you deep inside
I promise you will never be alone, So here is...

BRIDGE
You can turn to me and know that I am always standing by
I gave it all for you so you could have this gentle peace
inside
I will follow you 'Cause I believe in everything you are
I am your father, You are my saviour and in the matters of the
heart I am taking yours and you are taking mine

Today I went to the doctors to get my cough checked out for the second time and he finally prescribed me some stronger medication--the first time he gave me nothing. Mom took me out for lunch and we had some good talking time which is harder than you think it is because "talking time" is usually done with friends, not parents. Apparently she knows that I have a step-mother now hahaha...she asked me if I knew my dad was remarried and I said "Yep, for two years now haha!"

Grace called and we had a good long chat tonight. Seems like all I've been doing is chatting it up these last few days. Yesterday it was with Matt and Janet, Sunday there was a few people at the Allred's, and Saturday I had a great talk with Alice and Tony and a few others.

Crystal and Jon will be back on Friday at 5pm. I'm excited! There's some hilarious pics on Crystal's blog....go check them out if you have a passport password!! :P She's linked from my blog.

Education is coming around the corner and I can tell you that I'm a little nervous about how this is all going to play out? What if I get a crappy school? What if I can't hack it? Am I just worrying for no reason?!?!

Summer Recap

Summer Camp is now over and this officially means that summer is coming to an end. Just 3 more weeks, and I'll be back at it with school. Hmmmm...I'm gonna miss all my buddies who were around for the summer, but will be disappearing due to the end of the holidays. Goodbyes to Dick, AJ, Steph, Grace, Karen, Crystal.....man we had good times eh? :P

Matt's back at church and I couldn't be more excited. I hope we can keep him around. It's encouraging to know that one of my childhood friends is around.

Things with the youth are going great and I continue to pray that I can be the leader/mentor they need me to be; God help me.

DVBS is now over and I am clueless on how I'm going to run the follow-up event. Lots of planning and prayer is needed for this event. I hope Leon and Livy and many of the others can make it out every Friday.

Me tired and must get ready for bed....peace out!!!

Bonding over the Toilet Seat

Today, we went to Let's Play and I had a lot of time to play Four Square. That was my favorite elementary school game (that and soccer), and man, it brought back such great memories of recess and lunch hours. :) I remember how the older kids use to pick on me when I was very young and I got to do the same thing with the DVBS kids today hahaha. Me and my queen AJ hahaha.....

Afterwards, I went out with the high school boys: Jon Wong and Matt. We went to Big T's BBQ for the very first time (for me and Matt), and it was REALLY TASTY; we got the platter and split it three ways. I was so stuffed, but then when we went to Market Mall, I had some Marble Slab because they had Vanilla Bean and they are ALWAYS out of that stuff so I definitely had to get it while I saw the opportunity to. After that, we met back up with Jon Wong (because he had class), and shot some pool. I'm glad Matt called me to hang out; I'm glad I called Jon to get him in on it too!! It was such a great day! Good times and good talks.

One funny thing today was Matt and I had a bonding moment while we were in the washroom together. We were next to each other in the bathroom stalls taking dumps and talking while we were doing our business. Haha...don't ask me how that is bonding, but the Lord works in mysterious ways!! :)

One more day of DVBS!! :P YAC is tommorrow!! Summer Camp is just around the corner!! :) See ya all there!!! :)

Bless The Broken
By Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

[chorus]
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Have I Lost Weight? Answer Below....

Hi all!

I've been getting SO MUCH fanmail based on my blog entries as of late. In fact, I decided today that I will be addressing one of my many fans by answer one lucky person's question. Actually, I only got one question that needed to be addressed, so I decided to do my blog entry in response to this reader's question. :P Flora from Calgary, Alberta writes, "Lost any weight from dvbs??" :) Yes, that is a good question...have I lost weight; have I gained any weight?! What's going on with the pounds in my life? I've read your question Flora and now here is your answer:

Haha, actually despite the poor eating habits I've adopted again over the summer, I haven't gained any weight to my knowledge. I was just telling a few peeps at DVBS today that I havn't checked the scale for many weeks, because I feared I might have gained over the summer. This is because at DVBS, lunch is provided, and that means I have little control over half my meals during the day. Also, there is so much candy floating around our program, I've been eating lots of sugar-filled foods. So you can imagine my relief when I finally checked the scale this morning haha....The only thing that could've been better was if I hopped on the scale today and found that I lost weight. :P Why can't I eat junk food and lose weight? Haha...that would be awesome.

Well there you go Flora; I hope that answers your question. Keep sending your questions in at:

Until next time!

Wrapping up

It's been a blast, but I can honestly say that I'm glad DVBS is wrapping up. I'm getting really tired and it appears that I still have sickness which is lingering. The weather forecast looks really bad for Thursday...it looks like it will rain and our back-up plan for DVBS is Let's Play. Should we book or shouldn't we? ARG!!

"The older you get, the more cynical you become...." Is that a universal statement? Dang, I look at most ppl and to me, it does hold true. It's hard to find those who make this statement false...though I have seen one example...haha...can you guess who I'm talking about?

Can't wait 'til Summer Camp though; it should be mad fun. Hope everyone's excited and geared up for it....summer is coming to a close soon... :)

Long Entry...Brace Yourselves! :P

It's been awhile since I've posted lyrics to songs that state my emotional well being or have been speaking to me so here we go....

Yes I Will
By Bebo Norman feat. Joy Williams

In the passion of your sacrifice
I saw the prophecy fulfilled
Healer of the world, the wounded cry
I heard you say come follow me
So I will, yes I will

Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill (I will follow you)
Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill
To the cross where the river runs
Crimson even still, yes I will
Follow you Lord (follow you)
I will, yes I will

On the sacred path you bled for us
Scored and broken up that hill
Terrible the cross how glorious
I heard you say come follow me
So I will, yes I will

Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill (I will follow you)
Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill
To the cross where the river runs
Crimson even still, yes I will
Follow you Lord (follow you)
I will, yes I will

When I stumble in the darkness
Hear my weakness when I'm fearing
(Hear me Jesus) Hear me Jesus when I call your name
Oh help me Lord, Lord you help me Lord
Please help me Lord, Lord you help me Lord

Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill (I will follow you)
Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill
To the cross where the river runs
Crimson even still, yes I will
Follow you Lord (follow you)
I will, yes I will

Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill (I will follow you)
Follow you Jesus all the way up that hill
To the cross where the river runs
Crimson even still, yes I will
Follow you Lord (follow you)
I will, yes I will

Help me Jesus when I need rain

What a perfect weekend!! :P Got to spend time with Grace and she helped out for DVBS today too. Too bad she didn't get to meet my "son" Jonah though lol. I swear, things are going really well in that area of my life...things have started making sense in life....no, I'm not getting married or anything...no engagement news yet haha.....but the greatest feeling ever, is having my feelings sorted out. I think for the first time in my life, I actaully know what it means to care for someone like you care for yourself. Dang, I'm not saying I know forsure everything will work out in the end....but we'll take it one day at a time. I know I don't talk about this area in my life that often...it's usually because I feel like it's nobody's business or I don't want to hear "experts on relationships" tell me how it's going to work out. Don't put me in a box and tell me how my life will operate because no human can define my life and how it will play out. :)

I think with everything, if you follow God's rules and honour Him completely, things will play out the way they are meant to. Even if I was meant to be with someone for the rest of my life, if I don't follow God's will, I could end up ruining the relationship. Can you imagine losing the 2nd love of your life (1st behind God)???? What if you found the right person but you messed it up by disobeying God in a relationship? You might not break up, but you'd end up paying for your mistake in the end. It's not about forgiveness, it's about consequences. You could have an unsatisfactory marital life. Often times we think about finding the right person, but what if we found the right person and didn't know what to do with her/him? Whoever we pursue is God's property....CAUTION!! Handle with care!!!

I am praying that I handle my situation with extreme care....becaue though I care for this person, if I don't handle her right and the sitaution correctly, what kind of consequences could there be to my actions?!?

James Chen and hot dogs.....

DVBS was awesome today; we went to Lake Sikome and it was pretty fun....lots of memories. My favorite thing that happened today was when James said to me in a bragging voice "Oh Kingston...I don't have a hot dog today!" after he pulled out some cookies and waffers. He continued to pull out his lunch and there it was, two hot dogs for lunch!! Lol...he developed his pouty face and I said "I thought you didn't have any hot dogs today!" while I laughed at him haha. Poor kid. He gets hot dogs everyday and he hates getting them everyday lol. I found out something cool about his mom from Auntie Daisy today...apprently, over 10 years ago, his mom used to be a deacon at our church. Craziness!!! i hope James and all the other kids will be around for KFC and YAC. Man, I don't want to lose touch with these brats at all.... :) I have been loving this job more than any other job I've worked at. I can't beleive there are only 2 more weeks to go practially! Thanks for the memories folks!

Post Jesus Expo

Dang what great weather!! The forcasts called for rain but "who's bigger: God or rain?" Booooya....it was clear all day from rain, until the end of Jesus Expo. Clouds were rolling in when we were driving home and when it was all over though. God just reminds us how much He really is in control of everything and will make a way if we really want Him to.

Thanks to all those who helped out. I enjoyed making cotton candy and popcorn. Today was the first time I got to make cotton candy with the real machine (and not Sarah's kiddie one haha). I got to make popcorn today too and I burnt my knuckle...OUCH!!! Worship was good too....I managed to just block out all thoughts of fear and insecurities and just did my thing; I focused on just worshipping and praising. Man, I'm so awkward on stage sometimes haha...I just don't know what to do with myself, but thanks be to Jesus for leading through it all.

Thanks for all the people who showed up and visited! All in all, a great and fun day! Will there be Jesus Expo 2006 or 2007?!?! It's so much work!! Haha...only time will tell. :P

Stinky Farm

Today we went to Butterfield Acres and it was very tiring and long. Everyone underdressed as we thought it was going to be hot but the sun was barely out and we had to stay outside the whole day. Gotta love walking aimlessly and "killing time"...meanwhile, trying to avoid stepping on various animal droppings haha. Still, I had a blast with everyone. I can't beleive we're almost half done; I don't want it to be over simply because I love working with staff!

After work, I got to go all out and relax and read comics all night. My bro had the day off so he picked up my latest stash and I am finally up to date on my titles. I also picked up the "Sentinel" digests which collects all 12 issues of the series. Good read...not as good as Runaways or Young Avengers, but good enough...Kenric, I'll be lending this to you baby!! The series is restarting in November! I will probably collect this. Why am I reading Marvel's "teen books?" I have no idea what's up with me, but these new teen comics are fresh reads. All these new concepts with new characters within the Marvel Universe. Good stuffs; High recommendations ah!!

Jesus Expo!!!

Okay, I feel a lot better today...I know I'm getting better but this blasted cough keeps me up when I try to sleep. Sometimes, I wake up coughing like mad. :P

We went to Riley Park today for DVBS and I was worried that it would be too cold for the kids to go into the pool; thankfully, the weather was fine today. Thanks Jesus...I was a bit worried about it and You know it! :)

I can't believe Jesus Expo is on its way!! Yup, that's right, hope you all stop by Chinatown on Saturday as we'll have the whole street blocked off in front of my church for some good stuff. There will be a stage with music and stuff, free food, info booths, games, etc. After that, I think there will be a great time of worship after since we rented a stage and all. It all starts at 10am; hope to see you all there!!! (And keep praying for this event!)

The Sickness Rages On

Isn't it funny how when you're sick, they tell you you should drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest? Has anyone ever though, "but how can I sleep when I have to pee every 10 minutes?"....me and my small bladder... :P

I really tried sleeping in 'til 3pm today like I told everyone at Denny's last night but I couldn't. I got about 9 hours of sleep and I feel great, but I want to sleep more because I don't want to deal with coughing so much that I'm gagging and wanting to throw up everytime I cough. :P I have a meeting for "Kids Kraft Korner" for Jesus Expo today......maybe I can go and lie in bed before that meeting happens.

Something what I find really annoying is when a song is played on the radio lots but then a few months later, they don't play it at all. And then because of that, everyone forgets that song even exists. I feel like I cycle through songs hardcore; the cycle is so fast that I can't even remember all the songs that I like. Everytime I am doing my daily routines and such, a song will come to my head and I'll think "Oh YEAH, that song!!! I haven't heard that song in ages! I should go home and download it." Only besides that moment, I will never think of that song again. I have to make sure that when I remember a song, I write it down right away or I won't remember that that song exists for a long time...... :P Yup, I love my music....it makes the world go 'round...;P

What You Need to Know...

It's been awhile, but here I am updating.....I'm sick; I have lost most of my voice. I am hoping I'll get better soon or I'll have to bail on worship leading this Sunday. Let's pray I get better fast!

DVBS has been tiring this week and we only have 33 kids. We're expecting 42 kids for next week! What are we thinking?!?! Haha...I can't say no though... :P

Even though I'm sick, I just ate DQ Ice Cream Cake....yummy.....this is one of my favorite cakes....(I also love Chinese Sponge Cake with Fruit on top)!!!!

I have to plan tonight for my lesson tommorrow...dang!!! ideas, please come!!! :P

Oh, I also watched Fantastic Four yesterday and it was Fantastic...:P I don't see why it got such mediocure reviews as it was very decent. Good character developement...though a bit low on the action hahaha....:) Still, worth watching baby!!

Ok, time to get updated on everyone's blogs and then go plan for my lesson tommorrow. Good luck to my peeps in their soccer game tonight; sorry I can't be there to support! :)

Jon and Crys' new place......

Okay I'm tired; I should head off to bed. However, I still have some DVBS stuff to do. Today was a crazy day at DVBS and yet I survived. Lots of things were crazy haha. I knew if I wrote something about how good DVBS was doing, I would get a "bad day" afterwards haha. How ironic haha.

Today after DVBS, I went to Sushi Boat with Crys (her first time), and then we brought some dinner to Jonny and I got to see the showhome of what their new house would look like; guys I'm jelous....:P LOL...I can't wait to get a new place again haha. I know, I'm bad, I only moved into my new place a little over 1.5 years ago? and yet I want to move again. I can't wait 'til I can buy my own new place to live in....it's not for a long time, but I still can't wait. After the showhome closed, we just sat and talked in the showhome in the comfy office chairs in one of the offices for awhile and picked up slurpees haha. We always have good talks don't we?

Okay, off to finish my DVBS stuff and then I got to get some rest....:P Take it easy folks!

Want to Know More?

Only 3 days of DVBS has been completed and yet my body is so exhausted. Geo, you have a tough job, I know you're tired, but you seem more energetic than me at times hahaha....good job to you. Karen, you've been fun to work with so far; the 3 of us have been a good team so far. :)

My lessons went a lot better today than on Monday. There was a lot to talk about for us as a class as I was teaching on The Prodigal Son. We had a good discussion too and I got to take most of my kids outside. The younger ones got to watch videos when I got to watch them. :)

Running games these past few days, I've realize how much I've forgotten in quantities of circle games and quiet games. Amber from College Kids I remember, had a huge stack of index cards on a ring with all her games on them. They were colour coded to seperate icebreakers/circle and quiet/field games/etc. and I am starting to think I should do that haha.

So how is everyone doing spiritually? Physically? Emotionally? Mentally? Hahaha....I've been having a blast doing DVBS despite being physically tired. I love having all our volunteers around and having the privalege to work with my friends. It's not going to be like that forever, but just having a few years to do something like that is awesome; I'm very thankful. At the same time, I get to see some of the youth get involved in ministries and serve God with their own energies. It's amazing to see youth you want to pour into and see grow put their faith into action. On top of that, I get to help teach kids about God and I have bosses who aren't breathing down my neck while I work; there's a lot of freedom. It's about the same freedom that I had at College Kids but here at church, I trust my coworkers so much more with everything; we've got each other's backs. :) Lastly, being in the co-ordinator role has stretched me a bit because I hate doing administration and though it doesn't mean my skills in this area have increased to make this weakness into a strength, at least I faced something I'm weaker at doing and am getting through it thus far.

This is a busy time, but I keep reminding myself that this is one of the happiest summers of my life....because it is!!! I haven't looked forward to each day on my summer like this in awhile. What is this feeling?!?! OH YEAH, PEACE, that's what you feel like! Almost forgot.... :P

DVBS Kicks Off....

Man, it was definitely a learning experience with all the Kids in DVBS today. I had the older kids for most of the day and they were super good. However, they surprised me with their bible knowledge; they know a lot of stuff. They can put some of us to shame I'm sure. :P I underplanned the amount of activities my class had to do so I have learnt that I need to come up with more activities with the older kids since they whiz by them so fast.

The middle group of kids were very energetic and what you might consider "bad." Yet on the other hand, they were my favorite group because they were so enthusiastic for drama that I loved having them around. This class I didn't need to add anymore activities into the day with because they took up the whole time-- in fact we went overtime haha.

The youngest kids gave me such a headache, especially since Justin and Pierson have such a "toddler" mentality lol. Pierson has gotten better but it still doesn't help because at that age, the kids are so egocentric and in their "own little worlds" that my drama class DID NOT work with them quite so well. I had to pop a movie in lol.

All in all, a great day though. The structure of our program has added stability and less stress to the day. We were missing 5 kids today but yet it seemed like we had so many kids lol. Thanks to all the leaders today; you did great!! Tommorrow is day 2 of 29 hahaha....:P

Pass the Mosquitoes Please?..but Hold the West Nile...:P

I think I've smelt like Bug Repellant pretty often in the past week or so. I love the fact that we're enjoying the weather and playing some sports and getting a little active, but I really hate the mosquitoes so much......Is it worth putting on bug spray; I get bitten regardless haha. I've recieved at least 1 bite everyday I've been out in the last week, whether I've had the spray on or not. Well, really, the bug spray does help because there aren't swarms of bugs flying over our heads as much, but I hate the smell of it. I hate feeling like you have to take a shower lol.

Lindsay Park was fun last night; I love playing in the water, even though I can't swim. Hot Tubbing was fun and so was diving off the diving board haha. I enjoyed playing some badminton too....I love raquet sports lol. Kickball was pretty fun today too. I was really into it and I just love our youth. I am glad Stef and AJ are here for the summer. I hope they have tons of fun while they're here and I don't know, something tells me they'll have a pretty good impact on our youth so I am praying for that. Here's to expecting the things that are meant to happen than to whatelse but to surely come to pass.....there's a bigger picture in mind...may it be executed by His will.....:) Amen.
