The Little Things

Man isn't it funny how the littlest things can make you happy? In my Bio class, it usually is really long and boring as my prof is old and doesn't have much interesting to say usually. He ended early last class by 15 minutes and today, he finished 30 minutes early! Wow, for an old guy, he's definitely showing signs if improvement! :P I thought he would regress, not progress. I can't believe how something as small as that can make me so happy. Now, I sit here in the Elbow Room wondering what to do with my 30 minutes of free time....:P

Kutless

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I bought Kutless' worship album "Strong Tower."
It's pretty good so far....I know I bought it despite it's bad ratings....but one thing that occured to me is critics don't know how to rate teen/young adult music very well....I don't know what it is.....maybe they're outta touch with culture...not hip and cool like "The Kingst".....

A few of the songs that are on it are songs I've liked before, but now I want to sing them even more at church......WAHAHHAHAH!!!

The Horrible Weather

Man, today, I went downtown to buy the new Superchic[k] CD....I can't wait 'til next week, when the United CD comes out.....I also wanted to pick up Jars of Clay's "Redemption Songs," but didn't want to spend so much money so I might pick it up next week (if I can't resist!!) As I was going home today, it started snowing and I thought "man it's snowing a bit....good thing it's not snowing that hard because I only wore a jean jacket." Turns out that when I got off the train to catch my bus, I missed it and decided to catch the 299 because it would come 15 minutes later and all I had to do was walk for about 12 minutes or so to get home from Arbour Lake. If I waited for the 199 to come, it would be another 35 minutes so I decided to catch the 299. BIG MISTAKE. The snow really started to come down and it was blowing so hard because of the wind. Hurt my face everytime the snow hit it. I started to run and it hurt like mad!! My face was drenched with wet/heavy snow as I was trying to get home. I really was in agony...I was praying "God get me through this..." It reminded me of how much we can suffer in life and even though it feels like God has abandonded us during the misery, He hasn't.....He pushes us to go on......
as I was near home, MY head was drenched; it was wet....dripping with melting snow. The sun started to come out during this time and I thought...how ironic that right when I was going to get inside, the snow stops, the sun pops out, and suddenly it's not so terrible to be outside anymore. How ironic. Sometimes God has a real sense of humour, and if a circumstance as painful as that can make me laugh, man, I really share God's sense of humour! :P Maybe I shouldn't wear that Jean Jacket for awhile....should wait 'til I really know it's spring!! :P

The Never Ending Story....

Well 3 more weeks of school and it truly feels like it's just dragging; it feels like there is no end to this madness. On one hand though, I just checked my midterm mark for my 2nd Geology midterm and I got an A...Hmmmm....can't complain about that one bit. It truly is "rocks for jocks"....not that I'm a jock but if I can pull off an A well....hahah.....either I'm a genius or God really wants to bless me...either way, I'll take it and I thank Him for it all. Just give me the strength I need to make it through this semester. I know so many ppl complain about school but we are really blessed to even have the opportunity to go, no matter how much we hate it. Sounds dumb, but it's true. Why shouldn't we do all we can to enjoy our studies? So many ppl can't go to school.....they have no opporunities and no finances.....we're paying $500+ for each class.....we gotta get something outta this...even if it is torture!! :P Make God Proud through the suffering! :)

4 Day Weekend

What a useless piece of crap this blogger thing is sometimes DAHHH!! I updated my blog, only to find it didn't update, and my entire post was deleted when I hit the "back button" on my IE.....

I didn't make it to school today as my title of today's post suggests. I figured that if my friends who all don't go to U of C are able to have Monday off, why don't I just create myself a 4 day weekend of my own? Besides, I was tired from Linda's goodbye party anyways so yeah that's why I decided to do....I only had one class today anyways! :P

I have found that I haven't written anything meaningul really on blogger yet and for that, I'm sorry. Haha....most of the stuff I've been writing just deals with all the activities I've been doing lately. Emotionally, I'm doing alrite.....well, could be better; could be worse. Have you ever felt something in you and though it's hard to describe in words how you're doing, you know how you feel. And then when you write it down, it just totally doesn't describe what you're feeling at all!?!? Sometimes words can't express the way you're feeling and that's probably why I haven't written things down much on how I'm feeling. I think God has taught me that though your friends always have the best intentions in mind, somethings aren't meant to be told to them. I mean I want to have an honest relationship with all my buddies, but at the same time, even if I told my peeps how I felt about things, they would totally never understand why I said that or why I felt that way. I guess only God can understand some things we go through; only He can understand our emotions. It's kind of helped me realize that I need to start depending less on man and more on Him. In any sense, I hate when words can't describe how you feel and I've noticed how even sometimes your closest peeps can't understand you for who you are.....only God can.

It's funny, this "reposting" from my deleted original post has changed so much. What I wrote intially, is so different than what I've written down the 2nd time.......:P

Pre-Party Prep....

Hmm....sitting at Jaxst's and Jck's house.....we did some prep for the party.......I bought some flower necklace thingys and a hula skirt for the Hawaiian theme!

It should be fun tonight......there's going to be so many people...but I'm tired already! :) Only 20 minutes to go really until everyone is suppose to be here. We're going to miss our "Ling Ling" so hope you have a blast here before moving to Hawaii.....man, I hope she doesn't read this blog before she comes over to Jck's and Jaxst's house lol!

Internet Frustrations..and other Infuriating Rants!!!

Man, sometimes the net is so frustrating...it was working fine for a bit, then started acting up during peak times when I was having conversations with peeps, and now.....iya...it's working again!!

Today, I went to morning prayer....man sometimes it's really negative, some of the stuff we talk about...before we pray.....but I guess I'd rather be aware of the problems than be oblivious...but I like being ignorant of the issues sometimes too. I think if anything were to crush me, it'd be church politics. Sometimes i can picture myself just saying "DAH screw it all!!!" No one said it would be easy to advance Jesus' kingdom. And then again, nothing that is worth doing is easy. So I guess it's a good challenge...and I guess I need to keep going...what else can I do? I hate looking back. I really love praying though and hearing some of you guys poor your hearts out to God.....so encouraging.

I have been tired all day because of it me not getting enough sleep (something that always happens when I go to prayer on Saturday mornings)....I think I am a bit grouchy right now and have been all day lol. I even rejected an offer to go out with my old high school friends....just not in the mood....I"m tired. I think I need to sleep early tonight. :P

What did I do today? I went to Wendy's/Tim Hotons (the BEST 2 restaurant combination ever...too bad there's only 3 locations in the city that I know of that have the combo), went to Sam/Sarah's for a bit, and then came home and finished watching The Incredibles for the 2nd time. I had Quizno's for the first time today too! :P

Oh, and since I didn't update my blog yesterday, just wanted to say that Good Friday service was pretty good except it was TWO HOURS!!! My bros went and so did some of our younger youth and non-church youth.......I hope you guys all got something out of it and weren't bored out of your mind. It was good, but I know it's hard for you guys to sit there for 2 hours...... :) WE went to Clem and Amy's house that day and we talked all night.....I love how when we go there, all we do is talk....just good fellowship time for all of us. We have really good conversations there all the time...it's scary sometimes haha.....but glad we could go there and celebrate Clem and Amy's birthday! :)

Tommorrow should be fun eh guys? WAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Paper Clip Guy...

Man, every Tuesday and Thursday, I do the same thing: I go to school, arrive 10 minutes early, and go to the elbow room to print off my notes. Everyday, it's the same thing though....when I try to print off my set of notes really fast, the "paper clip guy" always comes up and he never stays hiding DAHHHHH! I don't know what is more detestable: the paper clip guy himself, powerpoint for always running him everytime I run the program, or Microsoft itself for making such a stupid, annoying and idiotic thing! Now, I'm going to be late for class because of my rantings......:P Last midterm today....haha...good luck to myself, Jon Chu, El, Michelle, Josh, Jess, Rachel, Laura, Lyndsay, Anna, Jessie, Joe, etc......man, I hope we don't mess it up!!! :P

Right now I'm transporting some of Jewel's songs from her first two CDs to my Ipod Mini. Something about her music is so unique and fresh; despite the CDs being practically 10 years old. I guess that's what makes a classic. :P

I worked hard today on my essay for English....it's done!!! Well, still have to do some major editing....but at least the hard part is over! :)

I bought my comics for the week....not bad reads....what is a real shame is that the comic I'm buying with my favorite superhero of all, Havok, is the worst title I'm collecting. Horrible story telling....worst part is, it's 5 parts long!! AHHHHH.......well at least the art is nice..... :P Otherwise, I wouldn't be collecting this title if there was no Havok.

I still have to study for my Glgy midterm tommorrow. Haha.....guess this is where I exert some self-discipline hahaha..... :)

The House of M......

I don't know what it is, but right now, blogger is fun to update.....which is why I like updating it so frequently! :P

I finally bought my Ipod AC Adapter....at last, the annoyance is over with charging my Ipod Mini through my USB connection to the computer.....*sigh

I'm watching American Idol right now. My predictions for the top 4 are as follows: Anwar, Carrie (I hope she wins), Nadia and Bo Bice. Am I right?...only time will tell haha.

I finished my second midterm in Soci today and that means I have one more midterm left altogether in my University Career hahaha and that's in Geology 209 on Thursday....good luck to me and my classmates!

Not much else to talk about...I'm really excited about "The House of M" crossover between the X-Men and the Avengers happening in June. Scarlet Witch, Magneto's heroic daughter has gone psycho and now becomes a huge threat to reality itself. It's going to be an 8 part bi-weekly series.....man they're totally messing up the Marvel Heroines......first they kill off Jean Grey, and then they put Emma Frost with Cyclops, and now Scarlet Witch.....*sign...it should be an interesting read though. There's something about a huge crossover between superheroes which is really excited. Hope it lives up to its hype!

Justify Myself

Okay, after updating my page (which still hasn't refreshed yet as blogger takes awhile to update my links and personal info section), I feel I have to justify myself.

Yes, it appears like I am horrible because I spend so much money on comics. It lists 10 comics that I collect on a monthly basis. However, one comic I collect is on a quartly basis (once every 4 months and is a mini series), 2 are mini series and 1 I have only bought the first 2 issues, haven't decided if i will stick with it yet. So really, I ONLY collect 6 comics monthly lol...that' right..."only".....haha.....:P

Okay, I'm missing 24 to update this blog...gotta run!

English Paper Writing Commences.....

Yup, I started my paper for English today and it seems to be going okay. I hope I get a good mark on it as many of your are aware of the whole fiasco that occured with my first paper. :P

I studied today for my two midterms this week. I can't believe it, after these 2 midterms, I'll never have another midterm again; celebration commences soon. :) Haha...I also did some reading on blackboard for my English class as to when it is proper to use a comma vs a semi-colon.....hahaha, I did know how to use them before somewhat, but now it's official! :)

So because of all the school stuff, I've missed workout time today. I think I'm going to cancel my membership soon as spring is starting and we're going to have lots of opportunities to play sports on the weekend; I can keep in shape that way. I am running low on cash and racking in on the debt so I figure it's time to find a job soon. I think I'm going to need a spring job folks. :( Any suggestions? Are you guys aware of anywhere that's hiring?

4 more weeks of lectures, and then it's finals; make sure you guys are holding on! We're almost done the semester......keep going! :) Good luck to all those who are trying to get into education (including me)...haha! :)

Hey peeps,

So the low down is that we're at Milton's house right now and Jacklyn was trying to tell me what to write in updating my blog so it was a little difficult at first. Now she's gone....whoo-hooo!

We're playing Karaoke Revolution right now and planning on getting pizza soon. I don't know why, but it's fun to come to Milty's house because it's a nice home and it's new. Some of us have really crappy housing and he lives the high life. (<----Jacklyn helped me type that sentence....*sigh, so annoying....she's back!)

Better go before she ruins anymore of this blog entry!

New Havok's Headquarters....

Well well well........a new home for the one and only H-A-V-O-K hahaha........Turns out Alicia won't be able to host me anymore as she needs to save some money. Therfore, she will be cancelling her domain at lothlorien.....oh the memories. :)

Man today, though I was extremely tired, I woke up very early with the intent of going to prayer. However, my Dad called and said he was in town for a surprise visit. Because of that, my middle bro Won, and I went to go meet him and spent some time with him. He was only in town to pick up his stuff for income taxes....so he left at lunch time. So I missed prayer. :)

It was a good day though because I got to talk a lot with my middle bro as we don't get to talk much it seems. Had 2 really good and deep conversations on different occasions today and I took him to Sushi Boat for the first time!! Yummy hahaha.

I bought The Incredibles today....can't wait to watch it. I also bought a hair cutting set today and I got to give myself a buzz cut. Hair all over the place. I think I did a fairly decent job considering it was my first time cutting my own hair.

Well, I don't know if this new siet is my permanent home, but hopefully I'll be settling down here and making myself comfortable for awhile to come...... :P
